Diljit Dosanjh Joins Karol G and Bizarrap for 2026 Latin Grammys

Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is set to perform at the 2026 Latin Grammy Awards, placing one of India’s most internationally recognised music artists on the stage alongside major names from the Latin music industry, including Karol G and Argentine producer Bizarrap.

The Latin Recording Academy confirmed Diljit’s participation on November 5, adding his name to the performers announced for the 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. The ceremony will take place on November 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

His inclusion brings a distinctive Punjabi music presence to an awards ceremony primarily associated with Latin music. It also gives the event an additional international dimension, with performers from different musical backgrounds sharing the same stage.

Diljit joins an international lineup

Diljit is among 14 additional performers announced by the Latin Recording Academy in its latest lineup update. The list also includes Colombian singer Karol G, Argentine music producer Bizarrap, Spanish singer Bad Gyal, Puerto Rican artist Jay Wheeler, and several established Latin music performers.

Other newly confirmed names include Baby Ranks, Miguel Colón, Divino, DJ Premier, Grupo Niche, Lil Supa, Luis Enrique, Nathy Peluso and Ángel “Cucco” Peña.

They will join artists announced in earlier rounds, including Rosalía, Anitta, Daddy Yankee, Juanes, Carín León, Mon Laferte, Rawayana, Feid, Reik and Grupo Frontera.

The growing lineup brings together pop, urban music, salsa, regional Mexican sounds and other musical styles. Diljit’s presence adds another cultural and linguistic perspective to the programme.

A notable international appearance for Punjabi music

Diljit Dosanjh has built an international following through Punjabi-language music, live performances and film appearances. His career has extended beyond the Indian music industry, with performances and projects attracting audiences in several countries.

His Latin Grammy appearance is particularly interesting because Punjabi music and Latin music come from different linguistic and cultural traditions, yet both have developed strong audiences beyond their countries of origin.

For international listeners, the performance could also introduce a wider audience to Punjabi music. For Diljit’s existing fans, it represents another opportunity to see an Indian artist participate in a major international music event.

The announcement confirms his place in the performance lineup. However, the Latin Recording Academy has not announced a separate award nomination for Diljit in connection with this performance confirmation.

When and where will the 2026 Latin Grammys take place?

The 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The main three-hour television ceremony is scheduled to begin at 8 pm Eastern and Pacific Time, with a one-hour pre-show starting at 7 pm in those time zones. The event will be broadcast on Univision, UNIMÁS and Galavisión, with streaming available through ViX in the United States.

Actress and producer Roselyn Sánchez will return as host, marking her tenth time presenting the Latin Grammy Awards.

The Latin Grammy Premiere ceremony will take place earlier in the day, with the majority of award categories presented before the main televised programme.

Willie Colón tribute among the evening’s highlights

The 2026 ceremony will also pay tribute to the late Willie Colón, the influential Nuyorican trombonist, singer, composer, producer and bandleader associated with the development of salsa music.

According to the Latin Recording Academy, Ennio Gatti will lead the musical direction of the tribute, bringing together Colón’s original 13-member band to celebrate his musical legacy.

Colón received the Latin Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004. His contribution to salsa and Latin music remains an important part of the genre’s history.

The ceremony will therefore combine contemporary performances with recognition of artists who helped shape Latin music across generations.

With Diljit Dosanjh now among the confirmed performers, the November 12 event will bring Punjabi music into a programme featuring some of the most recognisable names in the international music industry.
